The Hire Process
Do you deliver nationwide?
Answer: Yes, we do. We use FedEx to courier our equipment. We arrange for the equipment to be delivered to you the day before you need it, and then collected from you the day after you finish. Please ensure that there is someone at the delivery/collection address to receive or hand over the equipment.
If I haven't hired from you before, and I need a camera that day, can it be done?
Answer: Yes, it circumstances allow. If we have the availability and the delivery address is within reach, such as London, then we can arrange delivery ourselves, and view all necessary insurance and ID documentation on arrival.
What do I need to provide if I am hiring as an individual?
Answer: It's a requirement of our insurance policy that the Hirer provides us with a form of photo ID, such as passport or drivers licence, proof of 'Hired-In" insurance up to an amount that we specify, two utility bills that confirm home address and two references, outside of immediate family.
What do I need to provide if I am hiring as a Company?
Answer: Whether you are a Sole Trader or Ltd Company, we require the Hirer to provide us with proof of 'Hired-In" insurance up to an amount that we specify, a company letterhead, two utility bills that confirm office address and two references, outside of the workplace.
If I take out the Hire Agreement in my name, can the equipment be delivered to another address?
Answer: Yes, we are happy to deliver to location, providing the person receiving the item is part of the company that is hiring, and can provide ID to confirm this. In the case of an individual hiring the equip, then we can deliver to another address, providing the person doing the hiring is there to receive the item.
When can I expect the equipment to be delivered?
Answer: The equipment will be delivered to you after 12pm on the day before it is required. If you wish to collect, the same time frame applies.
What are the delivery charges?
Answer: Within the M25, we charge from £20+VAT for each collection or delivery between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. Any deliveries outside of these times, or at weekends, but still within the M25 area, will be charged from £25+VAT. If you are outside of the M25 area, please ask for a quote, and we will provide you with the cheapest alternative, be it our drivers or a reputable courier company. All hires above the value of £250+VAT will be delivered free within the London area.
When can I expect the equipment to be collected?
Answer: The equipment will be collected from you before 12pm on the last day of the hire.
What time do I have to return it by?
Answer: The equipment has to be returned by 12pm on the last day of the hire
What happens if I am late returning the equipment?
Answer: The equipment has to be returned by 12pm on the last day of the hire. If it is returned after 12pm, but before 6pm, then you run the risk of being charged 50% of the daily rate. If it is returned after 6pm on the last day of the hire, then you will be charged another day's rate.
Are all hires payable in advance?
Answer: Yes. If you hire on a regular basis, then we are happy to provide terms of 30 days, but the first hire is always in advance.
Can I extend the hire if necessary?
Answer: Yes, providing we have the availability, and the equipment on hire is not pre-booked by another Client.
Can I add to the hire if necessary?
Answer: Yes, providing we have the availability, and the additional equipment required is not pre-booked by another Client.
What if something goes wrong with, or we damage the equipment?
Answer: If you damage the equipment, please let us know immediately. If we can replace the damaged item, we will, so that you are able to continue with your shoot, and we will deal with the insurance aspect at the end of the hire.
PLEASE NOTE: If you damage the item, and do not inform us, then you will be held liable for any loss of hire resulting from our inability to provide a replacement for the new Hirer due to lack of formal notification.
If the equipment develops a fault, we will do everything in our power to replace the item, or repair the item at the earliest opportunity, but this will depend upon the nature of the fault, and the location of the item.
